Does FSA Require Volunteers / Coaches to get a background check?

NTSSA and FSA require all volunteers and coaches to register through GotSport. This requires the person registering to complete a background check and SafeSport training.
Once the registration, background, and training are completed – FSA asks Coaches to send an email to FSA’s Registrar to request to be assigned to their team.

Registration fees are per player and do not include the costs of uniforms.

When is registration?

For the Fall Season(s), registration dates are between June and July.
For the Spring Season(s), registration dates are between December and January.
*FSA Does not have youth summer or winter leagues*


How do players get placed on teams?

After registration, the coaches will select new players from a random draft. The FSA Registrar will give the Information to the coaches regarding the draft once registration ends.

When are games played?

U4-U8

The main game day for the league is Saturday between 9am and 6pm.   In the event of rainouts or divisions with an odd number of teams, Tuesday and Saturday evenings between 6pm and 8pm will be used.

U9-U17

The main game day for the league is Saturday between 9am and 9pm.   In these divisions - Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6pm and 9pm will be common. 

In the event of rainouts or unforeseen circumstances, all days are possible game days, including Sundays.

How long is the season?

Each regular season has eight games. Playoffs and championships will be scheduled for U9 and above following the regular season. *8 games are NOT guaranteed.  The association will do everything in it's power to get the games in.   Weather and field availability are not within our control.  

Where do Teams go for the games?

Our games are held at Forney Community Park’s Soccer Complex.
Some older age groups may be scheduled in other local areas, but the team will be notified at the beginning of the season if that is the case.

Where can Coaches, Families & Friends park?

Families can park in the lot directly in front of the Soccer Complex or in the parking lot across the street near the playground area (next to field 13). Families are also welcome to park in the Softball Fields parking lot and utilize the bridge to walk to the soccer fields.
No Parking is allowed in the grass near the amphitheater or in the small parking lot next to the City Parks and Rec office.

When and where are practices held?

Practices are held at Mulberry Park, Henderson Elementary, and Forney Community Park. The coach selects practice locations, fields, and times and day of the week. The coach will choose the location and time of practice/s at the Coaches Meeting that is scheduled the week after registration ends.

U8 and below practice once per week.
U9 and above practice twice per week. 

How much are uniforms?

Uniform prices vary due to many different factors. FSA does not supply or facilitate the ordering of uniforms, and this is left up to the team’s coach/manager. Please reach out to your coach for any uniform questions.

If you are a parent with a question, concern, or complaint - you will discuss these with your Coach.

If you are a coach with a question, concern, or complaint - you will reach out to your commissioner.

If you are a commissioner with a question, concern, or complaint - you will reach out to the board.

If you are a parent and have a complaint about your coach – you will reach out to your commissioner.
